About Bacardi House

Bacardi Corporation was founded in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1936. The Bacardi Factory was built in 1958 on a 127-acre site in Cataño. The rum production plant is the largest premium rum distillery in the world, with more than 20 Bacardi manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Casa Bacardi offers three amazing experiences for tourists and locals alike. Take part in a fun and interactive mixology classwhere you will learn how to create the perfect Mojito and Piña Colada while learning about the history of cocktails. Go beyond the recipe and learn some bar tricks and skills. Become a master of rum and learn how to taste it the right way.

In the rum tasting touryou will taste a selection of Bacardi's premium rums accompanied by a chocolate pairing. As you delight your palate, your guide will teach you everything you need to know about the history of rum. If you enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, the Casa Bacardi Waterfront Experience may be for you. Relax with a cocktail in the waterfront pavilion and enjoy panoramic views of the Castillo San Felipe del Morro across the bay.

How to get there

The most efficient and fastest means of transportation is the Puerto Rico ferry that leaves from San Juan. The ferry leaves every thirty minutes and costs fifty cents per trip. In only 8 minutes, the Puerto Rico Ferry transports passengers across San Juan Bay to the Cataño dock. At the bus station cabs can be found on the right hand side to complete the last 2 mile trip to the factory.
