When planning your trip to the islands of Culebra or Vieques, please note that our boarding process closes 10 minutes before departure time. Remember to be at the Ceiba terminal one hour before departure time.

CURRENCY
The US dollar is used throughout Puerto Rico.

LANGUAGE
Spanish and English are the official languages of Puerto Rico. Spanish is the dominant language, but some locals also speak English.

PASSPORTS
US citizens do not need a passport to enter Puerto Rico.

TEMPERATURE
The temperature in Puerto normally varies from a minimum of 72°F to a maximum of 89°F.

TIME
The wet season lasts from April to November. The dry season runs from December to March.

Electric
Puerto Rico uses Type A and B plugs, the same as those used throughout the United States.

TIME ZONE
Puerto Rico is in AST (Atlantic Standard Time).

TIPPING
As in the rest of the US, restaurants and other service industries typically tip between 15% and 20% of the bill.
